Summary: The Craftsman position is responsible for executing repair and remodeling projects for residential commercial clients in a variety of trades.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Exemplifies ProMaster brand values of Care, Honesty, Responsiveness, Integrity, Safety and Timeliness.
• Executes repair and remodeling projects for residential and commercial clients in a variety of trades, to include carpentry, drywall, electrical, general repair, maintenance, paint, plumbing, roofing and tile.
• Performs project evaluations when required and expands the scope of work while generating additional customer referrals. Responsible for pricing, scope of work, material selection, and labor requirement to complete the project.
• Demonstrates responsibility for client satisfaction throughout all phases of the project.
• Meets or exceeds company’s Key Performance Indicators set forth for position.
• Completes accurate invoicing and collects payment from clients.
• Follows all safety guidelines according to industry standards and company policies.
• Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the job site and treats customer’s home and property with care and respect.
• Communicates up front about changes in scope of work, scheduling requirements, and obtains approval before commencing work.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

• Industry Knowledge – Refers to the knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures.
• Mechanical Knowledge — Refers to the knowledge of basic hand tools, machines, and power tools, including their use and maintenance. Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
• Customer Service – Refers to the ability to satisfy the expectations and requirements of customers. Displays courtesy and sensitivity and responds promptly to service requests. Identifies customer needs and explains services clearly. Handles difficult situations.
• Attendance – Refers to the consistency that an employee shows in turning up for work and completing their normal work hours.
• Communication – Refers to the ability to inform orally and in writing, with clarity and good effect. It means to understand clearly and quickly when instructions or orders are received. It means judgment about what information is important and what is not, and what should be communicated, how, to whom and when.
• Mathematics – Refers to the general understanding and ability to perform consumer mathematics for billing and invoicing purposes.
Experience and Requirements:
• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is constantly moving about at the job site moving, building, and tearing down objects. They frequently move about and position themselves inside tight and cramped space. The individual will frequently climb up and down ladders and must be comfortable with heights. They occasionally operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, fax machine, and computer. They must be able to exchange accurate information with customers and others in the office while interacting. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The individual must be capable of reviewing their work for errors and make adjustments as necessary.
Work Environment:
The individual will exposed to various different environments from indoors to outdoors depending on the job site. Individuals are exposed to warm and cold temperatures based on season. The individual will be exposed to loud machinery or equipment. Due to the risk of electrical hazards while installing or servicing, additional personal protective equipment and procedures may need to be followed. The individual may work in high dust or environments with allergens.
Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment as situations dictate on various job and construction sites. Due to exposure of machinery and electrical currents, employees are required to wear personal protective equipment. During warmer months, the required personal protective equipment may cause the employee to be very warm while working. The individual will be exposed to loud machinery or equipment.
